At this century, everybody starts forgetting books. Tablets, smart phones and internet access concurs our lives and lifestyles. Do you remember when you have been reading a book? Except of holidays of course.
I am so happy, that due to my new job, I have to take a metro for 30 min. That’s where I read every day. Before that, of course as most of us, I was just browsing the internet, listening to the music or just looking through a window. But is So. Good!
I deeply inspire you to find the right one for yourself and remember that feeling, when you don’t want to go to sleep just because you want to continue reading. When I was a kid, I was reading a lot. Especially the Harry Potter! Hah, that was the time, when you can finish a 600 pages in 2 or 3 days.
Today I want to share my top 10 list. It will be some I have read and some I wish to read. Will be happy if you can share your recommendations in a comment section bellow.
- Susanna Kubelka- She’s a German-speaking writer living in France. I have read 2 books of her (in Lithuanian as there is no English translation…) The original is in German of course. The first one was Ophelia Lernt Schwimmen- meaning Ophelia learns to swim. The book reminded me of FIfty Shades of Grey. The difference is that Ophelia is more romantic, not so ‘aggressive’ and everything happens in France. I like a lot that in a book you can see a lot of french sentences which gives you that feeling of being a character of a book.
And a second one was Madame kommt heute später- meaning Madam will come later. Also a little bit erotic romance, everything happens in France and as well reading some sentences in french.
Both of the books are about a relationship between a women and men. Cheating on each other, loosing everything and finding your true love. It shows that women can do everything if she really wants to do that.
- Elisabeth Gilbert- Eat, Pray, Love. I’m sure that everybody of you have seen this movie. But what about a book? For me it was much more interested to read, of course as always it was a little bit different than in a movie. I don’t know why, but it inspired me a lot. To dream, to travel, to truly love and trust each other. It’s a One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia is a 2006 memoir by American author Elizabeth Gilbert. The memoir chronicles the author’s trip around the world after her divorce and what she discovered during her travels.
Highly recommend to read!
- Sophie Hart- The Naughty Girls Book Club. Have finished reading this one last week and I liked it! Very easy, also a little bit erotical novel. A quaint suburb. A quiet little book club. A very naughty reading list.
When Estelle sets up a book group in order to increase custom to her struggling cafe, what follows is more mind-blowing than she could have ever imagined…
As the first book club meeting flounders, Estelle suggests a spot of erotica to spice things up.
Inspired by their naughty novels, this group of shy suburban readers shake off their inhibitions and soon discover that their own lives can be just as scandalous…
Definitely give it a go for this book. You will be giggling while reading and just smiling all the time.
- Lauren Conrad- L.A. Candy. Probably many of you remembers MTV TV show called Laguna Beach or The Hills. During that period of time I felt in love with Lauren Conrad. She was completely different than any other Hollywood Divas and it it till now. Looks super feminine, crafty, kind and just lovely. I had totally forgot about her for a few years, but yesterday I found hers very first book, which I will read again today. It’s mostly about her life and how a young person lives in a Hollywood, how you find your love and get heart broken. Most of the story is about her, some facts are not real, names are changed. But give it a try for this book if you been that TC Show fan as well. Or just want to read a novel…
…Los Angeles is all about the sweet life: hot clubs, cute guys, designer…everything. Nineteen-year-old Jane Roberts can’t wait to start living it up. She may be in L.A. for an internship, but Jane plans to play as hard as she works, and has enlisted her BFF Scarlett to join in the fun.
When Jane and Scarlett are approached by a producer who wants them to be on his new series, a “reality version of Sex and the City,” they can hardly believe their luck. Their own show? Yes, please!
Soon Jane is TV’s hottest star. Fame brings more than she ever imagined possible for a girl from Santa Barbara-free designer clothes, the choicest tables at the most exclusive clubs, invites to Hollywood premieres-and she’s lapping up the VIP treatment with her eclectic entourage of new pals. But those same friends who are always up for a wild night are also out for a piece of Jane’s spotlight.
In a city filled with people chasing after their dreams, it’s not long before Jane wakes up to the reality that everyone wants something from her, and nothing is what it seems to be.
Hope you liked my TOP 5 List. I wanted to share with some easy going/reading novels. All of us are stressed enough in life, so why we have to be stressed by reading the book as well, right? Tell me in a comments your recommendations and ideas about the books, or maybe you have some ideas for the new posts?
Thank you for reading!
